History

It was set up as "Çanakkale Primary Teachers' School" in Çanakkale in the 1955-56 academic year to provide 3-year education. During the 1974-1975 academic year, it was converted into a 2-year "Çanakkale Education Institute". In 1982, it was affiliated to Trakya University and its name was changed to "Education School". The school, which provided 2-year associate degree of education until the 1989-1990 academic year, started 4-year education under the name of "Çanakkale Education Academy" in the same year. In the 1991-1992 academic year, it was transformed into the "Çanakkale Faculty of Education" affiliated to Trakya University. In the 1992-93 academic year, it was connected to the newly established Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University with the Law No. 3837.
