Seminar on Ecological Risk Research in Turkey's Streams and Lakes was held

The seminar titled "Ecological Risk Research in Turkey's Streams and Lakes" was held on 12 March 2024 within the Department of Geography Education. The seminar on ecological risk research in Turkey's rivers and lakes started with the opening speeches of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Evren ERGİNAL and Prof. Dr. Okan YAŞAR. The guest speaker of the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serkan KÜKRER from Izmir Kâtip Çelebi University, drew attention to the importance of aquatic ecosystems for humans and gave information on ecology and paleoecology studies in lakes. Associate Professor KÜKRER gave detailed explanations on how ecological risk studies are carried out in lakes through water and sediment and how the data obtained are processed by presenting examples from his studies to the participants. The seminar ended with a question and answer session. We would like to thank Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serkan KÜKRER for sharing his knowledge based on his research with our students. The seminar was attended by the lecturers of the Department of Geography Education and the students of the said department.
