Our vision as the Department of Educational Sciences is;

being better than European standards in the field of education, teaching and research.

In order to realize this vision, our primary mission can be expressed with these objective sentences;

• Working atmosphere which provides job satisfaction,
• Broad places which have a good landscape,
• Working with other departments and units in coordination and a cooperative manner,
• Encouraging academic studies which are accepted by national and international indexes.
• Building a preferable educational environment for graduate students.
• Using contemporary educational technologies in learning-teaching process.

History
Since 1998 Department of Educational Sciences, have been focused on functioning in various fields of education, especially in graduate level. In the department, there are three graduate programs under two major fields.

• M. S. Program in Curriculum and Instruction aims to improve student's skills in curriculum development, application and evaluation.
• M. S. Program in Educational Administration and Supervision offers courses about educational administration, organizational behavior, and management systems.
• Non-Thesis M. S. Program in Educational Administration and Supervision offers an practical educational program which aims to train educational administrators.

In addition to these educational programs, our department also offers courses to prepare students from the other departments of Faculty of Education for teaching profession.

Moreover, our department supports the undergraduate programs of Secondary School Field Education which are involved in Graduate School of Social Sciences and Natural and Applied Sciences.

Department of Educational Sciences' main purpose is to help our National Educational policies with studying various problems about education by scientific research methods. In this sense our department is conducting educational researches and producing projects as one of the most basic units of our university.
